The Lion City

Fast moving and gloriously spectacular

With a more and more vocal young generation coming to the fore Singapore is slowly set to change from a draconian social policy to a modern blossoming community. With a commendable line-up of new museums Singapore's art scene is fast becoming a 'must-see' in South-East Asia.

Although its principal lure remains its cuisine, modern Singapore has more to offer than cuisine and shopping. The outskirts of the city are rapidly developing, making a visit to the 'Lion City' these days a diverse adventure for all traveler types.

The Seasons in Singapore

As a country near the Equator, Singapore does not have four seasons and in popular culture is known to have two, Wet and Dry. However, there is no fixed weather in Singapore.

March to August

Dry Season

Less rain with cool breezes — the most settled stretch for sightseeing, walking the cultural districts, and time outdoors.

September to February

Wet Season

Rainy and generally hotter, though showers are usually short and the city keeps moving regardless.

Singapore can be visited year-round thanks to its tropical climate, but the best time to travel is from February to April, when rainfall is generally lower and the weather is more comfortable for sightseeing and outdoor activities. During these months, travelers can enjoy exploring the city, visiting attractions, and walking through cultural districts with fewer disruptions from heavy rain. While November to January tends to be wetter due to the monsoon season, it also brings festive events and lush scenery, making Singapore an attractive destination at any time of the year.
